Active Transportation Committee

Created in 2013, the Active Transportation Committee (ATC) advises both the Transportation Coordinating Committee (Trans Com) and Regional Growth Committee (RGC) on bicycle and pedestrian issues.

Trans Com is advised on programming within the funding programs identified in the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP). This includes the Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP), which specifically provides federal funding for bicycle and pedestrian projects. The Surface Transportation Program (STP), Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Program (CMAQ), and Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) are leveraged to include bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure within larger construction projects.

RGC is advised on long-range planning and growth issues related to active transportation, including the Regional Transportation Plan and Wasatch Choice Vision.
